Final (non) Fiction Friday.
Today my FFF will be in the form of a poem to describe a most wonderful trek
Ode to Shelley Lake
by Cecilia 11/26/21@
On a trail near here
we often walk and talk.
No matter the time of year
Sunny or cloudy
the nature we see is dear.
The trail is an adventure
Lake residents are a delight
Ducks, geese, heron, turtles
oh my even a few
Cormorant are near
The most magical encounter it is clear
is when we see Deer.
is when we see Deer.
There are at least six deer living in the forest around Shelley Lake. On November 17, we spotted four doe in grazing in the thicket behind the buck.
The buck came to the edge of the path about 10' from us
The buck came to the edge of the path about 10' from us
He walked parallel to to us (the lady had no clue he was so close).
The looked back at us, the off he galloped over the asphalt to the dirt trail off into the woods.
